Amazon Plans Massive Layoffs: Up to 30,000 Corporate Jobs at Risk

Amazon is reportedly planning to lay off up to 30,000 corporate workers according to sources familiar with the matter. The job cuts could start on Tuesday, potentially impacting almost 10 percent of Amazon's 350,000 corporate employees.

This would mark the second major round of job cuts for the e-commerce giant. Amazon last held a major round of job cuts at the end of 2022 and into 2023, when it laid off 27,000 workers.

The planned reductions come as the company looks to optimize its operations and reduce costs amid economic uncertainties and shifting business priorities. The layoffs would be among the largest workforce reductions in Amazon's history.
