Asus introduces the world's first gaming router with AI features

The number of companies integrating AI into their services and products is growing, and Asus is now one of them. Asus claims that the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI is the world's first gaming router to implement AI functions.

Responsible for the router's connectivity is tri-band WiFi 7, which combines 320 MHz channels with 4096-QAM modulation to deliver incredible wireless transmission speeds, up to 19 Gbps.

As expected, the router supports standard 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz frequencies, giving users a wide range of compatibility, both with existing and next-generation devices.

The 6GHz range takes particular advantage of 320 MHz channels and effectively doubles the capacity offered by WiFi 6, while 4096-QAM enables denser data transmission in short-range, low-interference environments.

The router also adds two 10G Ethernet ports and four 2.5G Ethernet ports, which together provide a total capacity of up to 31 Gbps and support link aggregation of up to 20 Gbps.

Among other impressive features, the router has: a 2.6 GHz quad-core main CPU, 4 GB of DDR4 RAM and 32 GB of flash memory. Responsible for AI functions is a dedicated AI processor, with four cores and a frequency of 2.1 GHz, with 7.9 TOPS NPU.

This AI processor enables Docker Engine with support for CLI and Compose, making the Rapture GT-BE19000AI the first router that can natively run containerized applications.

The router also offers AI gaming enhancements that were also used in previous gaming routers, but now enhanced with AI algorithms. /Telegraph/
