Why This Matters If you use Lubuntu because you want maximum performance and zero bloat, you've probably already been annoyed by the default screenshot tool: Screengrab. Here's what happens every single time you press PrintScreen: For a power user, this is unacceptable. I use Lubuntu precisely because I want my machine to get out of my way — and Screengrab does the opposite. Flameshot is a modern screenshot tool that does exactly what you expect:

press the key, select the region, and the image is already in your clipboard. Done. No windows, no files, no drama. Open:

LXQt Configuration Center → Shortcut Keys Find the line with the Print key and change the command to: Lubuntu is built for performance. Every unnecessary click, every redundant window, every extra step is a contradiction of that philosophy. Screengrab should either be replaced as the default tool, or at minimum ship with "copy to clipboard silently" as its default behavior for the PrintScreen key.
